This most peripatetic of Archangels is an eminent Personage in three of the world’s great religions. For Christians, he is the bearer of good news and Announced to Mary the descent of the Spirit.

In Jewish mythology, he is credited with the destruction of Sodom and Moses’ burial.

In Islamic tradition, he appeared to Muhammed during the month of Ramadan and hailed him as the Apostle of God.
